Summer Recap (Lots of Pics!)

Yeah, so I know I’ve been M.I.A. for a minute. Trust me, I’ve got a legit excuse, but I don’t want to get into that on this post. I need more info before I share it with you lovely people. But in the meantime and in between time, I want to share a little bit of my summer with you!

I took a few road trips and got into my typical nerd shenanigans with the fam. All of which are memories I’ll cherish for years to come. Most of the pics feature me, two out of three of my sisters (can’t wait for Tiffany to get off travel restriction. I definitely plan to take a trip to see her before the year is up) and my moms. Locations are Gatlinburg, TN, Nashville, TN and Ocean Springs, MS.

Check it out. πŸ™‚

It’s been a great summer in many ways, and an extremely challenging one in others. Even as I type this, I realize what an incredible understatement that last phrase is. But all in all, God’s blessings outweigh my worries and I won’t complain.

How was your summer? Are you as ready for fall as I am? I missed you guys loads and promise to fill you in on what’s going on with me as soon as I have a plan in place. Be on the lookout for a video from me soon. I want y’all to look me in my eyeballs for this one, lol. Β XoXo!

  1. Lookit you, all happy and relaxed! I feel like I’ve just been on a vacation again myself! πŸ™‚ (And wow, if that is a magnolia, I’ve never seen one that huge in my life…) Summer’s creeping away from me way too fast over here — we have fall colors in the trees already! — but I had a good run, and am looking forward to the better focus and writing time that comes with cooler weather. Hope the changing season brings you the same!

    • Thanks Sunshine! I had a good time despite some health concerns. I know you’ll be glad when it cools down, since the hot weather aggravates MS. And yes, that was a magnolia. It was huge and gorgeous. I couldn’t pass it up! As it was on President Andrew Jackson’s estate, I’m assuming it was hundreds of years old.

Happy writing, and thanks for stopping by!

  3. So happy to see you back! And that your summer was filled with such great moments with your family.

My summer was a mixed bag too, at sometimes it just seemed as if NOTHING (a plumbing problem, a miserable start to a temp job, vandalism on our new home and I could go on and on) would go our way. But it forced me to just press in and seek God just to swing my feet out of bed in the morning. I’m personally looking forward to fall. And a new season…

I have to say, though, the Hermitage is in my backyard and I would have LOVED to see you! But I know it was family time and I’m glad y’all kept it that way:)

    • Girl, that is a lot! I hope it’s gotten better and will continue to improve in the fall. Trying times does indeed cause us to draw closer to Him and that’s one positive thing about them.

I thought of you when we passed through Nashville, but we only stayed a few hours. Next time I will definitely look you up!
