I went a little downloading crazy in December, so I kind of took it easy in January. That’s mostly because I cannot continue to justify obtaining so many e-books when I barely have time to read. I’m so busy planning promotions for my debut novel (yes that was a shameless plug) that I’ve only finished one book in the last few weeks. That’s downright shameful, especially considering I usually finish at least one book a week. But such is life. I hope you find something below that sparks your fancy! Just click on the pics or book titles to read a sample via Amazon.

Title: The Best Medicine (Bell Harbor Novel Book 2)
Author: Tracy Brogan
Genre: Contemporary Romance Fiction
Description:
Everyone in Bell Harbor thinks career-minded plastic surgeon Evelyn Rhoades needs a husband. Everyone, that is, except for Evelyn…sort of. Even if she did want a husband (which she doesn’t…most of the time), she’d never let something as intangible as fate determine who she marries. No, if she’s going to find someone to spend her life with, she’ll do it scientifically: with a carefully crafted list of criteria and an Internet dating site.
But when intoxicated, law-breaking Tyler Connelly crashes into her life by way of a stolen Jet Ski, unruly emotions defy common sense. Sure, he’s sexy, charming, and determined to win Evelyn’s affection, but all evidence points to him being the worst possible choice. He’s too young for her. Too irresponsible. Too underemployed. And, oh yeah, he’s her patient.
But Tyler knows firsthand how the best-laid plans can crumble under the weight of destiny. Now all he needs to do is to teach Evelyn that, in matters of the heart, love often supersedes logic.
Title: Love Handles (Oakland Hills Book 1)
Author: Gretchen Galway
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Description:
The world of fitness apparel isn’t ready for Beverly Lewis. She hates the gym, is nice to everybody, and shops at Ross Dress for Less. When she’s not teaching preschool, she’s wearing yoga pants . . . to nap in. So when she inherits her estranged grandfather’s fitnesswear company in San Francisco, nobody expects her to keep it. Fite Fitness needs a heartless suit to save it from bankruptcy, not a thirty-year-old woman who cries when her students leave for kindergarten.
Someone like Liam Johnson. A former Olympic swimmer, Liam is Fite’s executive vice president. Unlike Bev, he’s devoted his life to Fite’s success. Managing one little preschool teacher—and his attraction to her—shouldn’t be an issue. Right?
But Bev’s tired of being underpaid and underrated, and refuses to step aside as an obedient figurehead. To everyone’s shock and horror, she moves up to San Francisco, sets up an office, and dives into the business. Nothing—not mockery, not exercise, not sabotage, not a disastrously hot night with her aggravating VP—is going to scare her away.
As Liam realizes she’s tougher than she looks, he discovers that losing Fite might not be nearly as bad as losing her . . .
A story about the pursuit of love, happiness, and the perfect yoga pants, Love Handles will speak to anyone who’s ever had to face what scares her most.
Warning: contains at least two loves scenes and a happy ending.

What are you reading? Recently read a book that you fell in love with? Tell me about it below, so that I can continue to feed my obsessive habit!
I know what you mean about having too many books! I have barely been able to do any reading at all, especially with a newborn daughter, and especially working full time, and pursuing a little thing called a writing career. My poor Kindle is so neglected! Love Handles looks like a fun read and I will definitely add it to my TBR list along with A Crazy Little Thing Called Love (and all of Christina’s other books!). Good luck with the novel release. It’s going to take up a LOT of your time but it’s going to be fun so enjoy the ride!

Girl, I probably shouldn’t admit this, but about the only time I have available for reading is …ahem…on the porcelain throne. Because no matter how busy you get, you gotta go. (I’m team too much today!)
Yep, Love Handles seems like a nice funny read which I always enjoy. And Christina is quickly becoming one of my slam dunk authors, right along with Adrienne Thompson. You know when you open on of their books, you’re in for a good read!
Thanks for the well wishes on my new release! It’s finally out, after a whole year of preparation. I’m nervous, but excited!!!!!!!!!!!!
